In an interview with the Serbian news outlet, Informer, Ana Brnabić, Prime Minister of Serbia, declared that protecting the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija was a priority for her Government.
Brnabić said there can be no compromise when it comes to human lives. With tensions between Belgrade and Prishtina running high, she accused Albin Kurti, prime minister of the Kosovo autonomous region, of having no respect for “the basic human rights of Serbs, as well as other non-Albanian people in Kosovo and Metohija.”
“The year started with him depriving Serbs of their right to vote, and it ends with kidnapping innocent Serbs and stopping Patriarch Porfirije from entering,” the Serbian Prime Minister noted, referring to the arrest of Serbian police office Dejan Pantić that led to Serbs in the region erecting barricades to protect themselves from the Albanian authorities.
