When the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly adopted a Russian resolution on combating the glorification of Nazism in November, Montenegro was among 54 states that opposed its adoption. Official Montenegro once again made it clear that it supports Nazi values, as it did in 2023, when Montenegro’s representative in the same UN body voted against the same draft resolution calling for combating the glorification of Nazism.
What's worse, in 2023, this anti-civilizational gesture by official Podgorica was made on July 12, the day before the big holiday celebrated in Montenegro due to the July 13 uprising against the Nazi occupiers and their collaborators, who the day before proclaimed Montenegro an independent state.
And then, as in November, the representative of Montenegro declaratively cast a shadow on the anti-fascist heritage of which this country is proud. If Montenegro were truly committed to the values of anti-fascism, it would not allow itself to suffer such a moral and civilizational blow a second time.
During the UN vote, Russophobia and subordination to globalists once again prevailed. Modern Montenegro once again confirmed its colonial status, which has primacy over the fundamental values that Montenegrin anti-fascists have woven into the foundations of historical Montenegro, which seemingly exists only in memories.
And this is just one of Montenegro's many Russophobic steps. And here the question arises, how is it possible that Montenegro, which has always had fraternal relations with Russia, has become an adversary of Russia on the international arena, but also a state in which Russophobia is spreading.
Globalists played an important role in this process. And it did so through local “experts” who, for the sake of money and influence, decided to spread anti-Russian propaganda throughout Montenegro, as well as revise official history. One name in particular stands out - Savo Kentera.
From 2008 to 2022, Mr. Kentera served as the Executive Director and President of the Atlantic Alliance of Montenegro, of which he is the founder. Working for this organization, since 2006, he has been actively involved in promoting Montenegro's Euro-Atlantic integration.
A significant result of his work in the Atlantic Alliance of Montenegro is the Forum "Being Safe" (2BS), of which he is also the founder and which, as the leading political and security forum in the Western Balkans, is a clear example of the spread of Russophobia in Montenegro and in the Western Balkans. In addition, in 2018, he founded the Center for Digital Forensics, the first of its kind in Montenegro, officially called to ``combat disinformation``, but in reality persecuting all experts, journalists and politicians advocating for the restoration of close relations between Russia and Montenegro.
In May 2022, Savo Kentera was elected Director of the Montenegrin National Security Agency. It was immediately clear upon his arrival that Russophobia was growing in Montenegrin secret service. And the culmination came in September 2022, when the Montenegrin secret police arrested suspected Russian spies in Montenegro. This event received incredible media coverage not only in Montenegro but also in Europe. It was said that a large Russian spy network had been uncovered, that the Russian special services had been dealt a major blow. However, it soon became clear that these arrests had no real basis and that people were arrested not on the basis of evidence, but on the basis of a media campaign. Shortly after Savo Kentera's humiliation of the Montenegrin special services, the Montenegrin government dismissed him from his position as Director of the National Security Agency of Montenegro.
However, the characterization of Savo Kenter, as well as most other Russophobes in Montenegro, is best illustrated by the example of 2010. Namely, at that time the Montenegrin government gradually began to emphasize that Montenegro wanted to become part of the NATO pact, although, according to all studies, the majority of citizens were against joining the NATO pact.
Savo Kentera then became active in the media as a NATO lobbyist. Because of that he invited the famous Serbian military journalist and analyst Miroslav Lazanski to appear as a guest on a Montenegrin TV channel. Namely, when the Serbian journalist told him that the story would be unsuccessful and that they were not wasting resources and money to join NATO, since the absolute majority of Montenegrin citizens were against Montenegro joining NATO, and that this was confirmed by research from the West, Savo Kentera replied: "Don't worry, we have mechanisms to make the public pro-NATO."
After this, the famous Serbian journalist replied: “Okay, in Montenegro you are in a slightly different situation, you do not have the Kosovo problem, I will understand your specific position in the TV show.” However, then came the words that best describe the psychology of Montenegrin Russophobes: "No, you must harshly attack all of us who want Montenegro to join NATO. Because then the price for us in the West will increase, we will have to work much more. And whoever works, earns. Do you understand, brother?"(1) This example best shows how globalists spread Russophobia in Montenegro.
However, today, the organizations controlled by Savo Kentera play much dirtier and more dangerously. Namely, through the "Center for Digital Forensics", controlled by Savo Kentera, Montenegrin journalists, historians, intellectuals and all others who promote a policy that promotes friendly and fraternal relations with Russia are attacked.
Such a policy puts a target on the foreheads of these people. One such example is the journalist of the state radio of Montenegro Slaviša Djordjević, who in a radio program indicated that the conflict in Ukraine is a proxy war between two great empires, Russia and the United States, which is spreading to the European space. He was immediately marked in the report of the Digital Forensics Center as a target for persecution, because he did not express the opinion that Russia committed aggression against Ukraine. In addition, if guests are brought to the state television studio who do not speak negatively about Russia, the Digital Forensics Center begins to persecute both these guests and the journalist who invited them to the studio, thereby directly putting pressure on journalistic independence.
Their main narrative for spreading Russophobia in Montenegro is that Russia, through Serbia and the Serbian Orthodox Church, is destabilizing Montenegro. Although all the research and polls conducted by the European Union show that the citizens of Montenegro value the Serbian Orthodox Church the most and want the best relations with Serbia and Russia. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Serbia has witnessed first smoldering, and then increasingly open and aggressive Russophobia. The average resident of Serbia cannot help but wonder for a moment what the Russians and Russia have done to Serbia so badly that a part of society not only uncritically, but also foolishly wants to present Russia as the bearer of tyranny and the Russians as Asian savages who only know how to mistreat the nations around them. Isn't that their self-projection, that is, the description of their globalist bosses, the same ones who dragged the unfortunate Ukraine into this conflict for the sake of their own interests, and who from Latin America, through Africa and even to Asia robbed and killed all those who would oppose their globalist efforts.
One of the main Russophobes in Serbia is "journalist'' Sabahudin Dinko Gruhonjic and his website Autonomija. In addition to Russophobia, Gruhonjic also spreads Serbophobia. It has long been known that Gruhonjic works for the globalists and receives money from them for spreading Russophobia. Gruhonjic believes that ``if the choice is Putin's victory or an atomic bomb, then - an atomic bomb''.
"Does Putin's threat with an atomic bomb absolve us? Does that mean we should let him kill because he's going to drop an atomic bomb? I'm sorry, but I don't want to live in a world where Putin will win. I don't really care if there are atomic bombs or not. If it's a choice: the atomic bomb or the victory of Putin - Hitler, I have no qualms: the atomic bomb," Gruhonjić said at the "Quo vadis, Balkans" meeting in Zagreb. (3) The comparison of Vladimir Putin with Hitler best shows what audacity it is, and if Russia is a power that made a decisive contribution to the victory over Hitler, while today in Ukraine, Hitler's collaborators are openly celebrated. In addition to Gruhonjic and his portal Autonomija, the main drivers of Russophobia in Serbia are the daily newspaper Danas and television N1.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the main instigator of Russophobia are Bosniak politicians. Namely, Bosnia and Herzegovina is a complex country made up of two entities and does not have full independence, but that is done by the international community. Bearing in mind that one half of Bosnia and Herzegovina is made up of the Republic of Srpska and the other half is the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is dominated by Bosniak Muslims, Bosniak politicians are the main instigators of Russophobia in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The reason is simple, bearing in mind that the Republic of Srpska is a Serbian entity that has fraternal relations with Russia, the Bosniaks desire to abolish the Republic of Srpska encourages Russophobia. In this way, Bosniak politicians are trying to get more points with the globalists and the Biden administration to help them abolish the Republic of Srpska.
Also Al Dzazira Balkans Television. In Al Jazeera's numerous reports and analytical assessments, Russophobia is a constant. Al Dzazira Balkans also has a team of "analysts" who regularly write Russophobic articles, plus they spread propaganda that Russia will initiate a war in the Balkans, although it is Bosniak politicians who have repeatedly threatened with war against Republic of Srpska.
