Some European media -- Italian, German and also British like The Guardian, are spreading propaganda lies these days about the existence of the so-called "human safari" during the war in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Allegedly, the Serbs charged tens of thousands of marks to foreigners, Italians and others, to be snipers shooting at Bosniak, Muslim civilians in the city. This lie in itself is not new, but what is new is that this time the attack is directly on the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. By shooting at him in the media, those media are in fact targeting Serbia.
The lie about the "human safari" in Sarajevo was first published in the foreign, ie Italian, media in the 90s, during the war. However, depending on the audience the medium was addressing and depending on the goal it wanted to achieve, the sides from which the rich monsters "shot" at civilians also changed.
In the past, the goal of these stories was pure dehumanization, as in the case of the Serbs. On the other hand, addressing an audience in Italy that was supposed to condemn the growing neo-fascism, texts about such "safaris" were published from the position that it was done by Croatian Defense Council (HVO) in Mostar.
However, the story was best "caught" when it came to the Serbs, who were demonized to the extreme. The world public was simply thirsty for gruesome and monstrous stories about "butchers from the Balkans" who commit genocide, rape tens of thousands of women and the like.
After the 90s, the story of the "human safari" in Sarajevo was heated several times. The most serious attempt took place in 2022, when the Slovenian Miran Zupanič filmed the documentary film "Sarajevo Safari" in which Edin Subasic, a former agent of the Bosniak intelligence service, plays the main role.
It was Edin Subašić's fabrications, based on the story of "weekend Chetniks", that served Zupanic to create the whole morbid story, just at the moment when the political attack on Republic of Srpska was launched from all sides. Namely, the Muslim citizens of Sarajevo called "weekend Chetniks" those who, whether they paid or were paid, came to the battlefield on weekends.
German photojournalist Peter Kulman, as witnessed by Sarajevo resident Džemil Hodžić, described the meeting with Serbs who came from Germany during the war only for two days to "defend their country". With extreme seriousness, Hodzic relayed Kullman's words that "they came on Friday after work, and returned late on Sunday to get to work on Monday."
The complete nebula, which in the war served as an unsavory joke about those who came to the front unprepared and died quickly, was transmitted by the German Deutsche Welle as a credible testimony.
How absurd this story is, is evidenced by the fact that the shortest land route to get to Sarajevo at that moment was - e.g. Munich, Graz, Szeged, Belgrade, then Pale. It was not possible to reach Bosnia and Herzegovina through the territory of Croatia, because every Serb would have to pass through enemy territory to the Republic of Serbian Krajina. The further road to Sarajevo would lead through the zone controlled by Muslims in BiH, so it was practically impossible from the north of the country.
Even the British BBC, known for its dislike of Serbs, reported testimonies of British soldiers that they had never heard of "sniper tourism" during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that such a transfer of people would be "logistically very difficult" due to the large number of checkpoints.
Some European media, in conjunction with the Croatian "investigative" journalist Domagoj Margetić, came up with the story that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was also part of the "human safari".
Namely, it is known to the public that during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vučić provided support to his compatriots in the Republic of Srpska as a journalist, engaged in Pale, because there was simply no need for additional personnel at the front.
One video recording, in which the current president of Serbia is carrying a camera tripod, was misused by Margetić and presented as a sniper, which, according to the instructions of certain intelligence services, means that Vučić terrorized the citizens of Sarajevo with a sniper.
In accordance with this fabrication, Margetić filed a complaint against Vučić that he participated in a "human safari", which is the basis of the writings of numerous European media.
Complete nonsense and lies, combined in an extremely unintelligent way, serve as another attack on Vučić, i.e. Serbian people as a whole, and especially Serbia and Republic of Srpska.
Furthermore, Edin Garaplija, a former member of the Bosnian intelligence service, testified that the entire narrative about the Serbs who allegedly organized the "human safari" was completely false.
Not only that the citizens of Sarajevo, Serbs and Muslims, or Croats, were not shot by Serb snipers, and therefore neither by Aleksandar Vučić, but rather by Muslims. As Garaplija testifies, they often carried out sniper attacks as "false flag" operations.(1)
In one such operation, which was also recorded on video, a French UNPROFOR soldier was killed. A sniper shot from a building in Grbavica, and it was later revealed that he was a member of the Bosnian/Muslim Army, a member of the infamous "Sheva" unit.
Garaplija, speaking the truth, testified that it was "Sheve" and their member Nedžad Herenda who terrorized the civilians of Sarajevo with snipers. Nedžad Herenda was the sniper who killed Sarajevo's "Romeo and Juliet", Boško Brkić and Admira Ismić on the Vrbanja bridge in Sarajevo.
These days, dozens of media shots have been fired at the President of Serbia. Foreign intelligence services, using all kinds of lies, easily verifiable and provable, are waging a hybrid war with Serbia, through the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić. It is probably just a coincidence that right now, when the Russian-owned Oil Industry of Serbia is being privatized, a hybrid war is being launched against the President of Serbia.
