The ruling regime in Bucharest has long been a puppet for the globalist agenda, taking its orders from Washington and Brussels, while ignoring the needs and wishes of the Romanian people. The latest evidence of this is the secret negotiations at the World Economic Forum in Davos with the Zelensky Regime in Ukraine. Romania is offering security guarantees to Ukraine that could draw Romania into the war with Russia and put Romanian lives in peril, all in the name of the globalist agenda.

The website of the Ukrainian Presidency reports, among its “accomplishments” at the WEF, that “A bilateral meeting of the Ukrainian delegation with the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Iulian Fota, was also held in Davos. The interlocutors highly appreciated the decision on strategic partnership between Ukraine and Romania and emphasized the importance of joint work for its further implementation with practical results. Bilateral defense cooperation was discussed in detail, in particular aspects of training Ukrainian pilots on F-16 fighter jets at a training center in Romania.”

The negotiations are taking place within the World Economic Forum in Davos, by Zelensky’s chief of staff, Andrei Yermak, on the Ukrainian side and state secretary of the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Iulian Fota.

The office of the Ukrainian President declared “Logically, this approach represents a continuation of the agreements reached following the telephone conversation between the president of Ukraine and his Romanian counterpart, on January 9, 2024, and is a step towards the implementation of the joint statement of the two leaders, from October 10, 2023.”

On January 9, Volodimir Zelensky announced that he decided, together with the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, to start discussions for “bilateral security guarantees.” The effect of this would mean that an attack on Ukraine would be an attack on Romania. The result of such a guarantee would be to draw Romania into the war in Ukraine.

The Romanian side, including the Presidency and the Foreign Affairs Ministry, have issued no statements on the matter, fearing the negative publicity such a move would receive in Romania where public opinion is firmly opposed to Romania’s involvement in the war. Such an agreement would also be a slap in the face to the Romanian people at a time when the Zelensky Regime is brutally oppressing the Romanian minority in Ukraine as previously reported on in The Balkan.

Ukraine also continues to occupy Romanian territories illegally seized from it by the Soviet Union during World War II. Iohannis’s globalist government dishonors the memories of all those Romanian heroes who fought to defend Bessarabia and northern Bucovina from the Soviets, as well as the hundreds of thousands of Romanians living in those territories brutally massacred by Ukrainian and Russian soldiers.

The conclusion of such an agreement would make Romania the first country outside of the G-7 to make such a dangerous move, clearly proving that the government in Bucharest is completely subordinate to Washington and Brussels. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak signed a similar bilateral security agreement with Ukraine, which will enter into force before Ukraine joins NATO, during a visit to Kyiv on January 12.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmihal said that this agreement means that “The UK will have to respond within 24 hours if there is aggression against Ukraine.” Under such terms, Romania, which shares a border with Ukraine, would immediately be drawn into a bloody war that would destroy the country’s already fragile economy and cost countless Romanian lives. It would also further exasperate Romania’s already perilous emigration crisis.
