George Simion, leader of Romania’s leading opposition party the Alliance for the Union of Romanians and candidate for President stated that there a population exchange in is happening in Romania. The great replacement policy is replacing Romanians with "Sri Lankans, Indians, Pakistanis" imported from abroad.
While on the campaign trail, Simion declared “If there is a short formula by which I can explain our government program, it is that the Romanians must be masters of themselves in the country. Otherwise… this population replacement, colonization by other populations, which is prohibited in the Romanian Constitution, a phenomenon that is happening in these years because otherwise you cannot find a logical explanation for the fact that we have 6-7 million Romanians who work overseas and we bring in Sri Lankans, Indians, Pakistanis. We must protect our land, our land, we must protect this energy system that our parents created, we must recover the majority stakes in strategic companies, starting with Petrom. How does this happen? By nationalization with fair compensation. But the compensation will not take place until after we analyze the compliance with all the clauses in the contracts of privatization, sale, purchase and so on. Because we cannot give gifts, as have been done so far by the political class, to countries like Austria, which today, just like at the time of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, exploits Romania’s oil, natural gas, wood, and it will not this thing happens in my presidency.”
Simion also said that climate activists aim to eliminate humans because they “pollute.” “ If anyone expects Greta Thunberg or other environmental activists, who would like to kill all the cows, also on the same grounds, and possibly kill our grandparents for polluting.... We have far too large a population to stop all economic activity and reduce the population. It is an ideology that catches a certain part of the population in Western Europe, which has reached a certain material comfort and has these kinds of ideas. Everyone has the right to an opinion, but that doesn’t mean we have to embrace orders that are against the interest of Romanians.”
