According to sources in Bulgaria, the U.S. Embassy in Sofia is working overtime to try to keep the ruling coalition of globalist parties together to avoid early elections that could spell disaster for the globalist agenda. As previously reported in the Balkan, the parties forming the ruling coalition are in dispute over the formation of a new government and GERB leader Boyko Borisov had threatened new elections.
Outgoing Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov called on the GERB leaders to accept an agreement on governance with We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria, and accept a cabinet with GERB candidate Mariya Gabriel as prime minister and foreign minister, but without making any changes to the Council of Ministers. Denkov said if GERB does not accept the proposal they will be “throwing the country into chaos.” His comments came after Gabriel said she would withdraw her candidacy for Prime Minister because the two factions could not reach an agreement.
Behind the scenes, the U.S. Embassy has been pressuring both sides to reach an agreement to avoid elections, a situation that would allow President Rumen Radev to appoint a caretaker government that would upend the policy dictates from Washington and Brussels that the Denkov government has been frantically trying to implement contrary to the interests of the Bulgarian people.
Commenting on the infighting among the globalist parties, Kostadin Kostadinov, leader of Bulgaria’s main opposition party Vazrazhdane said “Today, the US ambassador has ordered both of his puppet formations to form a government, which (at this stage at least) will be voted on on Tuesday. Its main purpose will be to ensure the sending of Bulgarian troops to Ukraine, along with other NATO troops, of course.”
